We are looking for an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our growing team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills and a passion for problem-solving, along with a dedication to providing high-quality analyses and insights.

Responsibilities

• Perform statistical analysis to identify key risk factors.
• Assist in the development of pricing strategies based on data analysis.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
• Evaluate the accuracy of company’s reserve calculations.
• Engage with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with IT and data teams to enhance database tools.
• Contribute to special projects and initiatives to expand the actuarial department's capabilities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field
• Master's degree preferred but not required

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in actuarial analysis or related positions

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel
• Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, Power BI)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Team Player

Certifications

• Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA)
• Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
