Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing safety protocols that ensure compliance with health regulations and standards. You will play a crucial role in risk assessment and promoting a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and mitigate risks in the workplace.
• Conduct safety training programs and emergency drills.
• Track and report on safety performance metrics.
• Research and implement new safety technologies and practices.
• Collaborate with management to ensure safety initiatives align with company goals.
• Maintain safety-related documentation and records.
• Engage employees in safety discussions and feedback sessions.
• Ensure compliance with local health and safety legislation.

Requirements

Education

• Higher Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
• Master's in Occupational Health and Safety is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in health and safety roles, preferably in the environmental sector
