Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Production Workers to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used in our production processes. You will ensure the efficiency and quality of our end products while adhering to safety and operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines for manufacturing processes according to defined specifications.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with standards.
• Troubleshoot machinery issues and perform basic repairs.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to address production discrepancies.
• Document production metrics for reporting and evaluation.
• Participate actively in safety training and meetings.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and materials required for production.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support other production team members when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Technical diploma or certification in mechanical engineering is preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in machinery operation and maintenance

Technical Skills

• Good hand-eye coordination
• Knowledge of CNC machines
• Problem-solving skills

Certifications

• Health and Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with lathe and milling machines: Hands-on experience operating lathes and milling machines in a production environment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations: Understanding of workplace safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
