Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals, along with strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medication.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret prescription orders for accuracy.
• Collaborate with medical teams to develop patient care plans.
• Provide vaccinations and health screenings as appropriate.
• Manage prescriptions using pharmacy software systems.
• Oversee regulatory compliance in pharmacy practices.
• Engage in community outreach programs to educate the public.
• Assist with administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

Education

• PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy)
• Registered with SAPC

Experience

• Experience in clinical pharmacy preferred

• Clinical Skills

Certifications

• ACCP Certified Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Languages

• Afrikaans: Conversational
• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• BLS Certification: Basic Life Support certification is a plus.
• Experience in a community pharmacy environment: Hands-on experience working with a diverse patient population.
