Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, particularly in power systems and renewable energy applications. You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing power systems to meet project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze power flow and voltage stability in various systems.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure safe working environments.
• Coordinate with procurement for equipment acquisition.
• Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
• Conduct testing and validation of power systems.
• Provide input on power systems training and development programs.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities.
• Liaise with external consultants on specialized tasks.
• Prepare presentations for technical seminars and meetings.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in power systems and renewable energy projects
