Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Cloud Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert support for our cloud services, ensuring high availability and reliability for our clients' systems. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for technology.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the operational integrity of cloud environments.
• Analyze system logs and metrics to identify potential issues.
• Assist customers with technical troubleshooting related to cloud services.
• Provide training and support for new cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with development teams to address system bugs and improvements.
• Participate in on-call support rotation as required.
• Evaluate and implement solutions to optimize cloud performance.
• Maintain technical documentation and provide user training.
• Create reports on system performance and client needs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in technical support, preferably in cloud environments

• Google Cloud Platform

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• CompTIA Cloud+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Understanding of ITIL frameworks: Knowledge of IT service management best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD practices: Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies.
