Environmental Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Environmental Consultant to join our Cape Town team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental policies, sustainability practices, and a passion for protecting our natural resources. You will play a critical role in conducting environmental assessments and advising clients on best practices for sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Assess the environmental performance of clients and identify improvement areas.
• Collaborate with clients to create tailored environmental management plans.
• Research legislation and provide updates on compliance requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement meetings to gather input and feedback.
• Develop strategies for sustainable resource use within client operations.
• Monitor and report on sustainability performance indicators.
• Assist clients in obtaining environmental permits and licenses.
• Conduct training on environmental awareness and sustainability practices.
• Prepare grant proposals for sustainability projects.
• Support environmental policy advocacy efforts at local and national levels.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field
• Postgraduate qualifications are a plus

Experience

• 5 years of experience in related positions
