Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and assessing structural systems for residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles and an innovative approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative structural designs that enhance building functionality and aesthetics.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create architectural diagrams.
• Review construction plans for compliance with engineering standards.
• Analyze and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Conduct feasibility studies and structural analyses for proposed projects.
• Coordinate with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Contribute to team efforts to enhance project efficiency and delivery.
• Identify challenges and develop solutions with a proactive approach.
• Maintain an organized project documentation system.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Professional certifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience working on structural projects
