Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Durban. This role involves protecting sensitive information and systems, implementing security measures, and responding to incidents. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a passion for security.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments.
• Engage in cybersecurity awareness training for employees.
• Implement endpoint protection strategies.
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes affecting cybersecurity.
• Work with third-party vendors to assess their security measures.
• Perform vulnerability testing and penetration testing.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on security strategy and policies.
• Support incident recovery efforts and forensic investigations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity practices

Technical Skills

• Firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

• English: Fluent
