Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Volcanologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in volcanic research, monitoring, analysis, and risk assessment. You will work closely with fellow scientists to provide insights on volcanic activity and contribute to vital research projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field research to gather data on volcanic activity.
• Analyze geological samples and interpret results.
• Present research findings at conferences and public forums.
• Maintain accurate records of research data.
• Foster partnerships with international volcanology agencies.
• Assist in disaster response planning for volcanic eruptions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of monitoring systems and suggest improvements.
• Engage in ongoing education and training within the field.
• Participate in interdisciplinary studies related to geosciences.
• Support the organization of public awareness campaigns about volcanic risks.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Science or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of field experience in volcanic study and monitoring

Advantageous
