Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Nurse to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will assess and monitor patient conditions, ensure compliance with care standards, and provide support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop care strategies.
• Assist in diagnostic tests and interpretation.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare team.
• Engage with patients and their support networks.
• Coordinate discharge plans and follow-up care.
• Implement health education programs for the community.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide mentor support for junior nursing staff.
• Manage patient documentation and electronic records.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualification

Experience

• 1-2 years of direct patient care experience

Technical Skills

• Infection Control Procedures
• Emergency Response

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Time Management

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Leadership experience: Experience in supervising junior staff or training new nurses.
• Bilingual abilities: Ability to communicate in Afrikaans or other local languages is a plus.
