Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our passionate team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and surgery, focusing on providing top-notch health services to a variety of animals. Duties will include diagnosing and treating animal health issues, performing surgeries, and advising pet owners on care and nutrition.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive veterinary care to ensure the well-being of all animals.
  • Perform routine and emergency surgeries with emphasis on animal welfare.
  • Engage with clients to discuss treatment plans and health education.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop clinic policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and guide junior veterinarians and support staff.
  • Conduct follow-up visits to monitor patient progress.
  • Stay current with veterinary advancements and best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
Experience
  • 5+ years of clinical veterinary experience with focus on surgery
