Residential Support Specialist

Job Description

As a Residential Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing essential support and assistance to residents in a residential facility. This role demands strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks related to resident care and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the well-being and safety of residents in the facility.
• Provide personalized support and assistance based on residents' unique needs.
• Assist with meal preparation and medication management.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with residents and their families.
• Monitor and document residents’ progress and any changes in their health.
• Coordinate medical appointments and liaise with healthcare professionals as needed.
• Facilitate recreational programs to promote socialization.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards related to residential care.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Social Work, Psychology, or related field is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a residential care setting

Certifications

• First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage

Languages
