Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our dynamic team in Durban. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, be highly organized, and have a track record of delivering accurate financial reports. This role involves working closely with clients to manage their financial accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial advice.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely submission.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances.
• Oversee compliance with financial regulations.
• Coordinate with the finance team for accurate budgeting.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Analyze and report on financial performance metrics.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Manage financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Relevant Field
• Masters or additional certifications are a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years in a similar role

Certifications

• CA(SA) or Equivalent
