IT Technician

Job Description

As an IT Technician at Tech Innovations Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation of our IT systems across various departments. Your responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems, as well as troubleshooting technical issues. This position requires a proactive approach and a strong commitment to customer service. You will work closely with our IT team to implement new technologies and improve existing processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects.
• Ensure that the technology infrastructure and services are optimized and aligned with organizational goals.
• Provide preventive maintenance for hardware and software systems.
• Create documentation for IT processes and user support.
• Support the roll-out of new applications and provide training to staff as needed.
• Collaborate with other IT staff to enhance system performance and improve service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in IT or Computer Science
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Cloud Services (AWS or Azure)
• ITIL Foundations Certification

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• CompTIA Network+ Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash): Ability to write scripts for automating tasks and enhancing workflow.
• Experience with VoIP systems: Understanding of Voice over IP technology and configuration.
