We are seeking a qualified Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have experience in process design, optimization, and implementation of chemical manufacturing processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement initiatives across production lines.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new chemical processes.
• Coordinate with suppliers for raw material specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Analyze and manage project risks.
• Support research and development efforts for new products.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in process engineering

Technical Skills

• Chemical Process Design
• Statistical Process Control

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with chemical regulations: Understanding of local and international chemical safety regulations.
• Experience in project management: Background in leading projects within an engineering context.
