Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Chemical Engineer who will play a critical role in our manufacturing processes in Port Elizabeth. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to developing sustainable solutions within the chemical industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D teams to develop new product formulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures in the laboratory.
• Support scale-up activities from laboratory to production.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with industry trends.
• Participate in audits and inspections as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
• Master's degree in Chemical Process Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the chemical or manufacturing sector

Technical Skills

• Chemical process design
• Environmental regulations

Certifications

• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
