Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our educators in the classroom environment. The successful candidate will help facilitate learning, assist with lesson preparations, and engage students through educational activities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate small group instruction and tutoring sessions.
• Help maintain classroom discipline and safety.
• Assist in creating a nurturing and productive learning atmosphere.
• Collect and organize class materials and supplies.
• Support the integration of technology in the classroom.
• Assist in preparing student evaluations and assessments.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Diploma or Degree in Education preferred

Experience

• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in special education: Familiarity with supporting students with diverse needs.
• Fluency in Afrikaans or Xhosa: Ability to communicate in local languages is advantageous.
