Responsibilities

• Review applications for quality and completeness.
• Coordinate with sales and claims teams to streamline processes.
• Assess data from clients to make data-driven underwriting decisions.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced underwriters.
• Stay informed about changes in laws pertinent to the insurance industry.
• Conduct risk assessments for new insurance products.
• Advocate for clients during decision-making processes.
• Record and update database information efficiently.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in insurance underwriting.

• Fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (FIISA)
