Architect

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Architect to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional design skills and a passion for innovative architecture. They should be capable of leading projects from conception through to completion, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. A strong understanding of local regulations and a desire to contribute to sustainable design will be crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Prepare presentations for client meetings and public hearings.
• Evaluate and select materials and finishes suitable for each project.
• Coordinate building inspections with local authorities.
• Engage with community stakeholders to gather feedback on proposed designs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Master's degree in Sustainable Architecture is a plus

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in high-end residential or commercial design

Technical Skills

• Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Sustainable Design Principles

Soft Skills

• Creative Thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Architectural Technician (CAT)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in 3D modeling software: Experience with Rhino or other advanced modeling tools will be advantageous.
• Fluency in additional languages: Ability to communicate in Xhosa or Zulu is considered a bonus.
