Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our Bloemfontein team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of structural design principles and experience with various construction materials. Your role will involve designing structures that meet safety standards and client requirements, while also collaborating with architects and other engineers to bring projects to fruition.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural assessments on existing buildings and structures.
• Work closely with construction teams to resolve issues during project execution.
• Utilize industry-standard software for design and analysis.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss project specifications and requirements.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Mentor junior staff in best practices and design methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering
• A Master's degree or further studies are preferable

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Revit
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Structural Engineer
• Green Building Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in GIS systems: Experience using Geographic Information Systems for site planning and analysis.
