Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Park Specialist to manage and maintain parks and recreational areas in beautiful Cape Town. This role involves ensuring the preservation of natural resources, coordinating park activities, and enhancing the visitor experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily park operations, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
  • Manage park staff and volunteers during events and activities.
  • Provide educational programs to visitors about local flora and fauna.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new park services.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for park facilities.
  • Respond to visitor inquiries and address concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with local conservation groups to enhance ecological initiatives.
  • Plan and manage park events, ensuring successful execution.
  • Prepare budgets and reports related to park operations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Management or related field (preferred)
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in park management or a related field.
