Join our dynamic team as an Insurance Underwriter, where you'll play a crucial role in assessing risks and determining policy coverage. In this position, you'll work closely with clients to evaluate their needs and provide tailored insurance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive risk analysis and underwriting for new insurance applications.
• Interface with clients to determine coverage needs and policy terms.
• Monitor compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
• Assess reinsurance needs and make recommendations accordingly.
• Participate in training and development programs to stay current with underwriting practices.
• Provide feedback and support for improving underwriting guidelines.
• Develop positive relationships with clients to enhance renewal rates.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or anything relative
• Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry or related field

Certifications

• Fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (FIISA)
• Associate in Risk Management (ARM)

• Experience with Insurance Regulations: In-depth knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
