IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive IT Support Technician who will be responsible for providing first-level support to users and maintaining IT equipment at our Cape Town office. The successful candidate will help streamline processes and enhance productivity by ensuring that all systems are running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and diagnose issues for users via phone, email, and in-person.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and network infrastructure.
• Manage and respond to IT support tickets using our ticketing system.
• Assist with inventory management of IT equipment and consumables.
• Perform regular maintenance on systems and applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to implement solutions.
• Train users on IT systems and software applications.
• Document technical procedures and customer interactions.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or degree in IT or related field

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role

• Windows OS

Certifications

• CompTIA A+ Certification
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with remote support tools: Experience with tools like TeamViewer, AnyDesk or similar for remote support.
