We are seeking a passionate and skilled News Anchor to join our Durban team. As a News Anchor, you will be responsible for presenting news stories, conducting interviews, and engaging with our viewers. The ideal candidate will have a strong presence, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of current events.

Responsibilities

• Anchor news broadcasts with poise and confidence.
• Investigate stories and provide in-depth analysis.
• Work closely with reporters to deliver breaking news.
• Foster relationships with industry professionals for insights.
• Utilise social media platforms to enhance viewer engagement.
• Monitor news trends and prepare segments accordingly.
• Provide live coverage from the scene of news events.
• Adhere to ethical journalism standards in reporting.
• Coordinate with technical staff on broadcast operations.
• Prepare for and participate in audience Q&A sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Media Studies or related field
• Postgraduate qualification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a news anchor role
