Job Description

We are searching for a highly motivated Accountant to join our Durban team. This role requires the ability to manage financial records efficiently while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and providing insights that drive strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Lead the month-end closing process and reporting.
• Engage with various departments to enhance financial reporting.
• Educate and train staff on financial policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• A relevant postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.

Experience

• 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
