Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of civil engineering principles and experience in managing construction projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Design sustainable and innovative civil engineering solutions.
• Manage and oversee construction projects from concept to completion.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and contractors.
• Prepare detailed project plans, reports, and documentation for stakeholders.
• Evaluate and resolve design and construction issues proactively.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
• Assist in project budgeting and resource allocation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in construction management

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Registered Engineer Certificate (REC)
• ISO Certification in Project Management

Languages

• English: Fluent
