Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in both residential and commercial settings. You will be responsible for ensuring systems are functioning optimally and safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical upgrades and retrofits as needed.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of apprentices and junior electricians.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in the electrical field and continuing education.
• Participate in safety meetings and workshops to enhance safety practices.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and exceeds client expectations.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Qualified Electrician certification or degree in Electrical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on electrical experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Troubleshooting electrical issues
• Safety compliance

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Team player

Certifications

• Wireman’s license
• Electrical safety certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
