DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our Cape Town team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with development teams to improve the reliability and performance of our applications.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Optimize server performance and implement load balancing solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies for continuous improvement.
• Document all configurations, procedures, and system changes.
• Engage in performance tuning and optimization.
• Lead projects that enhance the DevOps culture within the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud management and automation

Technical Skills

• Azure
• Terraform

Soft Skills

• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash): Proficiency in scripting languages to automate tasks.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef): Hands-on experience in automating server management and deployment.
