Pharmacist

Job Description

As a Pharmacist with us, you will ensure the safe distribution of medications, counsel patients on medication management, and liaise with medical teams. We look for someone committed to excellence in pharmacy practice and dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Document and maintain patient records accurately.
• Provide specialised medication therapy management services.
• Implement quality assurance practices within the pharmacy setting.
• Coordinate with physicians to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
• Evaluate and recommend drug therapies based on current research.
• Mentor pharmacy interns and support their education.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in clinical pharmacy settings

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist License
• Basic Life Support Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans or Xhosa: Ability to communicate effectively with non-English speaking patients.
• Experience with inventory management systems: Familiarity with software for managing pharmacy operations.
