Looking for an experienced Architect to contribute innovative ideas and provide design solutions for a variety of projects in our Durban office. This position offers a chance to work in a collaborative environment and to influence the design direction of exciting new builds.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative design solutions that meet client needs and environmental standards.
• Prepare estimates and project schedules.
• Assist in research and development of new materials and technologies.
• Participate in community engagement events as a representative of the firm.
• Maintain quality control throughout the design and construction process.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in architectural design

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• BIM Software

Soft Skills

• Creative Problem Solving
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Registered Architect
• LEED Accreditation

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in sustainable design practices: Knowledge of environmentally friendly design techniques.
• Familiarity with project management tools: Experience using tools like Trello or Microsoft Project for managing project timelines.
