Responsibilities

• Manage the underwriting process for various insurance products.
• Collaborate with sales teams to support business development initiatives.
• Review claims history to identify potential underwriting concerns.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with agents and clients.
• Prepare for audits and provide documentation as needed.
• Participate in training and development programs for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in underwriting with a focus on commercial insurance

Certifications

• Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI)
• Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) qualification
