Cybersecurity Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Consultant to join our dynamic Cape Town team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with expertise in risk assessment, incident response, and security compliance. As a consultant, you will work closely with clients to develop and implement effective cybersecurity strategies to protect their operations and data.

Responsibilities

• Review existing security protocols and recommend improvements.
• Assess the effectiveness of security tools and implement new solutions.
• Collaborate with clients to perform vulnerability assessments.
• Develop training materials and deliver security workshops.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activities and events.
• Work with law enforcement or security agencies when necessary.
• Prepare detailed reports on security findings and solutions.
• Maintain updated knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in a cybersecurity consulting role

• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer
