Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize our logistics operations in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will manage supply chain processes, from procurement to distribution, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead logistics planning meetings and offer insights into potential improvements.
• Implement best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
• Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment on logistics initiatives.
• Track shipments and provide status updates to clients and management.
• Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
• Utilize logistics software to manage and optimize transportation routes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in logistics coordination or similar role

Certifications

• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in Freight Forwarding: Understanding of freight forwarding processes and documentation.
