Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Durban. In this role, you will provide high-quality healthcare services, assess and treat patients, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive care strategies for diverse patient populations.
• Participate in joint medical rounds and case discussions.
• Develop community health initiatives to promote wellbeing.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior nursing staff.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Master's degree in Advanced Nursing Practice preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience in a similar role

• Chronic Disease Management

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
• Community health experience: Experience in outreach programs and preventative care.
