Network Security Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Network Security Engineer to enhance our cybersecurity efforts in Port Elizabeth. Your expertise will help us mitigate risks associated with network vulnerabilities and intrusions, ensuring the protection of our digital environment. You will engage in continuous monitoring, threat analysis, and incident response to maintain a secure network.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest security trends and threats.
• Prepare detailed reports on security incidents and assessments.
• Work closely with other departments to integrate security across the organization.
• Participate in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH) preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in network security
