Cybersecurity Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Consultant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in safeguarding information systems and will be responsible for developing strategies to mitigate cybersecurity risks. You will work collaboratively with different teams to implement security measures and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand their security needs.
• Draft incident response plans to address potential breaches.
• Assist in the development of security awareness training programs.
• Evaluate third-party vendors for security compliance.
• Generate reports for management and stakeholders concerning security risks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in information security

• Firewall Configuration
• Threat Analysis

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Incident Management Experience: Prior experience in managing security incidents and breaches.
