Job Description

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing security measures to protect our company's information systems and data from cyber threats. You will assess security risks, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with security regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security incidents and make recommendations for improvements.
• Implement monitoring tools to detect intrusions.
• Assist in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of security procedures.
• Collaborate with legal teams ensuring compliance with data protection laws.
• Perform penetration testing to find system vulnerabilities.
• Guide the security team in responding to incidents efficiently.
• Stay informed on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or similar field
• Master's degree in a related field is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role
