Job Description

As an Architect with our firm in Durban, you will lead projects from concept through to completion. We are looking for someone who can merge creativity with technical understanding, and who is committed to creating spaces that inspire. You'll collaborate with engineers and clients alike to bring visions to life.

Responsibilities

• Create and present architectural concepts and designs to stakeholders.
• Lead project teams in the design and execution phases of various architectural projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies to assess the sustainability of proposed designs.
• Coordinate with local authorities for project approvals and permits.
• Implement sustainable design practices in all projects.
• Oversee the selection of materials and finishes for projects.
• Establish and maintain project budgets and timelines.
• Engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols during project execution.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or relevant field
• Master's degree in Architecture preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the architectural field

Technical Skills

• Building Codes Knowledge
• Sustainable Design Principles

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Leadership

Certifications

• Registered Architect (SACAP)
• Green Building Council of South Africa Member

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in landscape architecture: Experience in designing outdoor spaces and landscapes.
• Experience with 3D modeling software: Familiarity with other 3D design software for enhanced project presentations.
