IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our Bloemfontein office. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT systems, provide excellent customer service, and be adept at troubleshooting technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support for IT infrastructure and systems.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades.
• Conduct regular system backups and recovery operations.
• Respond to and resolve tickets for IT service requests in a timely manner.
• Support network infrastructure and connectivity issues.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in IT Support or Computer Science
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Linux OS
• Remote Support Tools

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Teamwork

Certifications

• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with IT asset management: Ability to manage software and hardware assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Experience with Active Directory: Familiarity with managing user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
