We're on the lookout for a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close processes and ensure timely reporting.
• Provide financial insights to aid in decision-making processes.
• Conduct regular audits of financial data and processes.
• Develop and monitor accounting KPIs and metrics.
• Facilitate training and mentorship within the finance team.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of accounting experience with a focus on management accounting

Technical Skills

• Excel
• Budgeting and Forecasting

Soft Skills

• Strong Communication
• Analytical Skills

Certifications

• Certified Management Accountant (CMA) - a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Strong understanding of risk management and compliance: Knowledgeable in risk assessment and compliance regulations.
• Experience in audit preparation and documentation: Demonstrated ability to prepare for and support audits.
