Cybersecurity Consultant

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Cybersecurity Consultant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity practices, be proactive in identifying vulnerabilities, and possess the skills to implement effective security measures to protect sensitive data. Your role will involve analyzing our clients' systems, recommending improvements, and providing ongoing support to ensure their security posture is strong.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate potential security threats.
• Design and implement effective cybersecurity strategies.
• Advise clients on compliance with local and international cybersecurity regulations.
• Monitor security systems for potential breaches and respond as necessary.
• Prepare and present findings and recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance overall security posture.
• Participate in continuous professional development to enhance expertise.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or IT security

• Information Security Policies

Certifications

• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with GDPR and POPIA compliance: Understanding of legal regulations regarding data protection.
• Knowledge of malware analysis and threat hunting: Experience in identifying and analyzing malicious software.
