Join our esteemed team as a Tax Consultant in Port Elizabeth, where you will leverage your expertise to provide excellent tax advice and services to our valued clients. We seek an individual with a keen understanding of South African tax laws and regulations, who can deliver personalized solutions tailored to each client’s needs. Your role will involve researching tax issues, preparing returns, and ensuring compliance with current legislation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth tax analysis for individual and corporate clients.
• Implement tax compliance programs for various clients.
• Review and advise on tax contracts and agreements.
• Assist in the preparation of income tax returns and supporting documentation.
• Provide ongoing support and advice on tax implications of transactions.
• Work closely with internal teams to facilitate tax solutions.
• Monitor changes in the tax landscape and advise clients accordingly.
• Create educational materials for clients on tax legislation.
• Participate in workshops and seminars to enhance knowledge.
• Support the growth of the tax consulting department.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field
• Master's degree in Taxation is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in tax advisory roles

Technical Skills

• Tax Law Knowledge
• Client Relationship Management

• Negotiation Skills
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Registered Tax Practitioner
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is advantageous

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Familiarity with Tax Software: Experience with tax software such as CaseWare or Xero.
• Knowledge of Corporate Tax Structures: Understanding of corporate tax structures and implications for compliance.
