Job Description

Join our team as an IT Support Technician in Port Elizabeth! We are looking for a motivated individual who can troubleshoot and resolve various IT issues while providing exceptional customer service. As a key player in our IT department, you will ensure the smooth operation of our network and systems, assisting users with technical problems, and maintaining IT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests, resolving issues quickly and effectively.
• Maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords in accordance with company policy.
• Assist in the implementation of IT projects and upgrades.
• Support the IT team with troubleshooting and documentation of IT processes.
• Communicate effectively with users to ensure clarity and satisfaction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Additional certifications in networking or system administration are advantageous.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in IT support roles with a focus on customer interaction.

Technical Skills

• Mac OS

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash): Ability to automate tasks through simple scripting.
