Job Description

As a Machine Feeder and Offbearer, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our production line. You will be responsible for the feeding of materials into machines and assisting with the offloading of finished products.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and implementing pond management plans.
  • Identify and document aquatic life and vegetation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding maintenance.
  • Participate in team meetings to improve operations.
  • Ensure equipment is operated efficiently and safely.
  • Contribute to health and safety assessments.
  • Support team members in achieving project goals.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as required by management.
  • Maintain high standards of quality in all tasks performed.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  • Relevant qualification in aquaculture, agriculture or environmental management is preferred
Experience
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in aquatic systems management
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems
  • Familiarity with landscaping principles
Soft Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Time management skills
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience in fish farming or aquaponics: Hands-on experience in sustainable fish farming practices.
  • Experience with aquatic ecosystems: Background in managing diverse aquatic ecosystems.
