Job Description

As a Postal Service Mail Carrier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of mail and packages within your assigned areas in the city. A keen knowledge of the local streets and neighborhoods, along with strong organizational skills, will be key to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently deliver mail and packages while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Use GPS navigation systems to find optimal delivery routes.
• Document all deliveries and report any discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve delivery challenges.
• Stay updated on local postal regulations and compliance requirements.
• Participate in training programs to improve service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in a similar delivery or courier role is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of city streets and neighborhoods
• Basic computer literacy

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Time management

Certifications

• Valid driver's license

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience using GPS navigation systems: Familiarity with using GPS devices for route optimization.
