Job Description

As a Nurse Practitioner at Health First Medical Group in Durban, you will assess and treat patients, educate them about their health conditions, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments to identify health concerns.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Perform necessary procedures and administer therapies.
  • Educate patients about medications and their side effects.
  • Work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Participate in patient discharge planning and follow-up care.
  • Engage in community health outreach programs.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior healthcare staff.
  • Review and revise practice protocols to enhance patient care.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification is preferred
Experience
  • 4+ years of nursing experience, with 2 years in a primary care setting
