Responsibilities

• Create detailed structural designs using CAD software.

• Review and approve project drawings and documentation.
• Monitor construction progress and address any issues that arise.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and engineering advancements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Time Management

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Quality Management certification
• LEED accreditation is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with BIM technology: Hands-on experience in Building Information Modeling applications.
• Familiarity with construction codes in South Africa: Knowledge of SANS and other local construction standards.
