UX Designer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented UX Designer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for creating seamless and intuitive user experiences that cater to our customers’ needs. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and is passionate about enhancing user interactions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define and implement innovative design solutions.
• Perform usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on designs.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX design.
• Create and maintain design documentation and specifications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant design field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in UX design or interaction design

Technical Skills

• Wireframing
• User Testing Methods

Certifications

• HCI Certification
• UX/UI Design Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with accessibility standards: Knowledge of WCAG guidelines and best practices for accessibility.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS: Basic understanding to effectively communicate with developers.
