Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Accountant to join our team in Durban. The Accountant will be instrumental in managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role demands an individual with strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail, as you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to the overall financial well-being of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Compile monthly financial reports and forecasts.
• Provide support for cash flow management, including accounts receivable and payable.
• Monitor compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Conduct variance analysis to support budgeting efforts.
• Assist in implementing financial controls and processes.
• Advise management on financial implications of business strategies.
• Maintain relationship with banks and financial institutions.
• Coordinate with external accountants to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree in Finance or Accounting is a plus

Experience

• 5 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment

• SAP Accounting Software
• Financial Analysis

Certifications

• ICB Certification.
• Tax Practitioner Registration.

Languages

• English: Fluent
